WHO'S HOT
Jimenez shot the best round Sunday with 4-under-par 68. The score vaulted him into a tie for eighth and assured him of a return trip to Augusta National in 2009.
Jimenez holed his second shot at No. 7, using a 7-iron, for a rare eagle on the par-4 hole.
"That helps a lot," he said. "But the rest of the round was very difficult."
On the back nine, Jimenez made birdies on Nos. 13 and 14 and chipped in for birdie on No. 18.
WHO'S NOT
The Englishman birdied the third hole to make an early statement, but then the wheels fell off. He made double bogey at the fourth, then followed with bogeys at Nos. 5-8 to shoot 41 on the front nine. He took a penalty shot at No. 6 when his ball moved on the putting green.
The back nine wasn't much better. Casey made three bogeys against one birdie and finished with 79 on the day.
"That took the wind out of my sails," he said of the penalty. "That's out of your control, and that's very difficult to handle."
WILD CARD
Poulter birdied the first two holes Sunday to move up the leaderboard.
But a bogey on No. 3 and three consecutive double bogeys, on Nos. 5-7, derailed his round. He birdied the ninth to shoot 40 on the front.
Poulter didn't fare much better on the second nine. He double bogeyed the 11th and bogeyed the 12th. He made birdies at Nos. 15 and 17 but also had a bogey at the 16th.
"I've hit a couple of loose shots, but I haven't really done an awful lot wrong there, to be honest," Poulter said of his string of double bogeys.
